Skateboarding first started in 1950s. Surfers got the idea to surf the streets. No one know who made the first skateboard but when the skateboards where made it became a new sport. The first skateboards where wooden boxes with roller skate wheels attached.

1970 Freestyle

Freestyle skateboarding made the skateboarding we see today.

Mainstream Skateboarding

Since the 2000s skateboarding has become more mainstrea. More money has been put into skateboarding, more parks, better skateboards and more companies support the skaters.
