    The fall of the Western Roman empire was when Julius Nepos was Emperor and ended up being killed by his own soldiers. Most people believe this was the start of the middle ages.

    Charlemagne was the King of Francia (now France) and then became the Roman Emperor. Charlemagne is well know for the things he did such as work with the Church for the restoration of art, religion and culture.

    There was famine throughout northern Europe for these two years. Many people died of hunger or diseases. At this time the crime rate was ridiculously high with lost of people committing theft.

    This is probably the most known war from Medieval times with France and England battling one another. The war got it's name because it lasted over one hundred years of feuds and conflict between the two countries. There was small periods of peace throughout.
