Crosby's first point was in his the first game of Crosby's NHL career which was against the New Jersey Devils, his first NHL point was him assisting Mark Recchi's first goal of the season which was his team only goal that game but more importantly was the first of so many more points that were yet to come, the game ended with the Penguins coming out of the arena defeated 5-1. -

A concussion and neck injuries forced Crosby to miss the bulk of 2 playing seasons and 61 straight games. In the game he came back to the line up against the New York Islanders he did what he was best at and amaze people, just five minutes into the game he was given a pass at the neutral zone and he skated into the zone, split the defencemen and went back hand into the top shelf of the net, he finished off the game with two goals and two assists and that night the NHL knew Sid the Kid's back. -
