Go to the act.org website and register for the test. -

Short Term Goal
S: Get at least a 28 on the ACT.
M: Spend at least an hour every week studying for the ACT.
A: Taking less time watching T.V. in the week and replace it with studying.
R: The opportunity cost of getting a 28 on the ACT is more valuable than spending extra time watching T.V.
T: I will spend time studying for the ACT until the test on June 10th, 2017. -
STG: Step 2
E-mail my counselor, Mrs. Peekenschneider, to make a meeting to talk about the test. -
STG: Step 3
Have the meeting with Mrs. Peekenschneider and ask about websites to help study for the ACT. -
STG: Step 4
Study for the ACT at least an hour a week until the test. -
STG: Step 5
Go to take the test on June 10th, 2017. -

Apply to the University of Iowa -

Long Term Goal
S: Graduate college at the University of Iowa.
M: I will get good grades in all my classes for 3 to 4 continuous years until I get the degree I want.
A: I will stay focused and get good grades on every assignment and test I complete during the many weeks in college.
R: I determined that the opportunity cost of staying focused on my grades in college is more valuable than spending time messing around in college.
T: I will graduate from the University of Iowa by the year of 2022. -

Get accepted to the University of Iowa. -
LTG: Step 3
Go and attend the University of Iowa and study hard in all of the courses I take. -
LTG: Step 4
Study abroad for a semester somewhere in Europe. -
LTG:Step 5
Graduate with the degree/ degrees I want with outstanding grades.
