Upper and Lower Canada unite to become Province
In 1841, Upper and Lower Canada untie with eachother to become one complete province called Canada. There was a Canada West and a Canada East. -

The Charlottetown Conference
The Charlottetown Conference was held from September 1-9, 1864. It was the first conference of the three conferences that were held. -
The Quebec Conference
The Quebec Conference was the second of three conferences held before Canada became united with the west of Canada what is now western Canada. The conference took place at the colony's legislativ bulding (the Province House). The conference started on Thursday September 1st, 1867. At the beginning of the conference, all of the delegates had a banquet before the conference started. -
The Construction of The Parliment Buildings
In 1865, construction of The Parliment Buildings began. Parliment was built on the high cliff's over looking the Ottawa River. The buildings were also built in grey limestone. -
The London Conference
The London Conference was the last of the three conferences to be held to determine if Canada should become a complete country. Delegates from the province of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia were at the meeting in London, UK. This was also the conference when the British North American Act, 1867 was drafted or created. The London Conference was a continuation of The Quebec Conference that talked about "The Sventy-two Resolution. -
The First Prime Minister of Canada
On July 1st, 1867, Sir John A. Macdonald was elected the first Prime Minister of Canada.
