One of the people who contributed to spread Greek ideas was Alexander the Great. He conquered a vast empire within 10 years, and the Greek culture linked the Mediterranean. In addition, the Ancient Romans used Greek ideas, so some of the ideas are known because of the Romans. This event impacts me because I know about the Pythagorean theorem because of them. In conclusion, the spread of Greek ideas affected the world. -

Roman Law
The Roman Law protected all citizens, and they wrote the law so that there are no misconceptions. Also, the judge made a verdict based on the law. We still use these three ideas, so it is very important.
This event affects me because I have the right to get education since the written law states so. If it weren’t written, poor families might not be able to send their children to school. We still use the Roman law, so it is important. -
Europe in the Middle Ages
Europe Begins to Change
By the 1400s, Europe began to change a lot. Trade increased. so there was better economy. Merchants got opportunities in many towns. Also, a new way of life centered around cities began to develop.
This affects me because I have lived in two large cities, Rome and Tokyo. This is possible because of this event. -

Steam Engine
The first machine of the Industrial Revolution was in Great Britain for textiles. It was used in factories. Each machine did something over and over again so the product was made more quicker. In addition, this was much more cheaper. This invention was the beginning of the Industrial Revlution when goods began to be made by machines. -

Cities Are Congested
People left their farms and came to the cities to work at factories. The factories didn't have a good environment, and they didn't pay them well. That made people live in cramped, dirty housing. The unclean conditions caused deceases to spread. -
Changes in Government
Colonization
Many European countries followed imperialism, so they took over many parts of Africa and Southeast Asia. People in the colonies had to change their language and their religion. On the other hand, there was a good effect for the ruling countries because they can get resources, they can sell their goods, and they can spread their influence. Later, these colonies became a huge problem for the Europen countries. -
