Restoration of the Monarchy
Charles II was crowned King of England. Parliament had seclared that he was the rightful ruler after the execution of Charles I. This was seen as a relief from tyranny. Many expected future kings to exercise less power. -
Wiliam III and Mary II crowned King and Queen
Upon aproval of a Bill of Rights, William and Mary became King and Queen with their power limited.
