Magna Carta formed
The Magna Carta is passed. It was formatted by a group of barons who felt that the king was infringing on their rights. Charles becomes King
After the death of his father, James I, Charles becomes king. He begins to clash with Parliment almost immediatly, as he asks for an outrageous 700,000 pounds to finance the 30 years war. Petition of Right passed

English Civil War Starts
Reaching a boiling point between Parliment and Charles, tensions boiled over into war, as the whole country was soon engulfed by one side or the other in the conflict. Charles is executed
Charles is brought to London to stand trial for breaking the peace that had seperated the two periods of fighting in the Civil War. Cromwell becomes Lord Procter

Monarchy restored
Under outside duress, and the failure of Cromwell to provide freedom, Parliment reconizes Charles II as the rightful king.
