The Protestant Reformation
In 1517 Martin Luther began the Protestant Reformation as he nailed his protest against Catholic Doctrines to the door of Wittensburg's Cathedral. He denounced the authority of the Popes and Priests, stating that the bible is the only source of Gods word. -
The Mayflower
In 1620 the Matflower, crowded with Pilgrims, missed its destintion after securing rights to settle under the Virginia Companies jurisdiction. They arrived of the coast of New England with 102 people. -
Puritain Persicution
In 1629 Charles I dissmisses parliment and sanctions th anti-puritain persicutions. Later, a group of non-seperatist puritians secured a charter to form the Massachusetts Bay Company. Later establishing a colony in Massachusetts. -
Founding of Pennsylvannia
In 1681 William Penn recieves a large amount of land from the king as a payment for the debt that was owed to his late father. He then settled in this land and began to welcome any and all who wished to go. He would sell or rent out the land to large families, but William had the ultimate sy of what would happen on the land. -
The Bloodless Revolution
By 1688 the peolpe of Old England had grown tiered of James II's rule. So they offered the thrown to William III of the Netherlands, also married to Marry II who was James II's daughter. When William III appeared with his army James II grew scared for his life. As a result he willingly resigned the thrown. There was no fighting or bloodshed which is why it is known as the Bloodless Revolution.
