    -The parents of black children wanted their children to go to the same schools as white children

    The Atlanta Attorney and John Sammons Bell wanted to replace the red and white bars of the state flag with St. Andrew's Cross (Confederate's battle flag). This implied that Georgia still stood for legal segregation, which caused conflict between whites and blacks.

    Its purpose was to desegregate the Albbuny community. It resulted in many African Americans being sent to jail.This movement failed because police sent protestors directly to jail, which limited the publicity of the movent.

    MLK lead many organizations on a march from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial. This march was used as a way for African Americans to fight for jobs and freedom. MLK gave his "I Have a Dream" speech here.
