  • Invention of Cotton Gin

    Invented by Eli Whitney this helped speed up the proccessing of cotton. This caused people to need more slaves.

    This was a law that stopped the trade from America and any other country.

    This compromise caused two new states to be added to the south as a slave state and to the north as a free state. They did this to keep the balance in the senate. It also made sure that no state could be a slave state above the 36' 30'' line.
