Theodore Roosevelt described a man with muckraking and his eye was messed up. this showd the people the filth slums and more and more people prented things on this becuse it is what the public wants to hear. Becuse if something is going on that can affect them they want to know. -
Female and Chid Laborers
Female who worked in the jobs like factorys, Atore clerks, and laundresses earned less then $6 a week. It was hard to incress your income if you were not a man, you could be penalized for working to fast. Children who worked would die sooner then useual becuse of inposable life theatening tasks. -
Social problems with getting rid of child labor
many people wrote about this like, Theodore dreiser, Edith Wharton, and Herbert Croly. They beleaved the government should use taxes to make there income go up so it is easier to live. But the govenment answered they have to show social responsibility as well. With more money children didnt have to work and, neather did the women.
