Isaac Newton Builds On The Work Of Other Scientists

Isaac Newton was devoted to proving Copernicus's, Galileo's, and Kepler's ideas. But, he also wanted to find out how the things that those scientists found actually happened. So, he did his studies, and he came up with laws of gravity. His laws explained why planets moved around the sun, what gravity does to objects, and many more ideas along those lines. That is why Newton was a huge part of this huge revolution.

    Scientific Method Invented

Now there isn't really a specific date to when scientific method was invented, but the idea was invented and improved on by many scientists. This is what almost everyone uses in science today, the idea of proving your ideas. This was a major event in this major revolution.

    Copernicus's Ideas Are Somewhat Proved

The astronomer, Galileo, was obsessed with Copernicus's theory. He had a huge interest in proving it right, and also finding more things about his theory. So, he build the telescope. He found stuff that people have never seen before. So, he drew out his ideas, and his findings. And then was going to tell everybody, but was threatened by torture, so he was never able to teach everybody about what he had found. He also was never able to tell anyone that Copernicus's ideas were actually correct.

Humans Start To Look At Themselves Differently

At this time, there was a scientist, his name was Andreas Vesalius. Vesalius told people that Da Vinci's ideas were wrong, and that he could prove it. So he spent a lot of his life studying the human body. There was also another scientist, named William Harvey, who devoted his studies to how things worked in the body like how the heart beated or how blood flows. He explained a lot that we know look at in science today.

Humans Start To Look At Themselves Differently

There were two scientists named Andreas Vesalius and William Harvey, who devoted their studies to the human body. Vesalius was devoted to proving Da Vinci's ideas wrong, and showing people that his ideas were actually correct. Harvey was devoted to studying circulation, and the heart. He also found out how blood moves through arteries and veins. Both of these men made huge discoveries that changed the way humans look at themselves.

The Idea Of A Geocentric World Changes

At this time, Copernicus has laid out a model of the heliocentric solar system. In the last 15 years, he has been working to really see if the world is geocentric. He has been testing, and back to the drawing board for those 15 years. He finally, came up with the idea, that the world wasn't geocentric, it was heliocentric. The thing is, nobody believed him because his ideas went against the church.

Scientists Start The Study Of Nature

This event was the very beginning of the Scientific Revolution. This is when scientists start to question ancient beliefs. They also began to make conclusions based on what they have studied. Scientists started to form experiments, and make things to help them experiment such as a telescope or a thermometer. Although this is very risky for scientists to do. Because they are challenging faith, and they could get punished for testifying against faith.
