Scientific Revolution

    Magic, Religion, and Stars

In the start of the scientific revolution, Magic, religion, and stars determined why things happened, and the science was proven
  • Sep 20, 1500

    Roger Bacon

Roger Bacon and many others belived that scientific experiments were required to determine why something happened. Religion was not an exeptiable answer anymore.

    Scientific instruments

Scientific instruments started the be created.
    - Barometer
    -Microscope
    -telescope
    -airpump
    -thermometer

    Math, and experiments

Math, and Cunducting experiments was the key of proving science, experiments became valid by repition, cunclusions were drawn and were shared to the public
  • Sep 20, 1500

    Scientific method

Math, Scientific instruments, and escpecially experiments and the cunclusions made became the scientific method. This caused a rapid increase of understanding in the world. Religion, Magic,a and stars were not appropriote answer anymore

    Copernicus

During A.D 100s Astronomer Ptolemy stated that the Earth is the center of the universe, Every planted revolves around us. However, Copernicus abanoned this therory and said that the sun was the center. This theory explained alot of unexplained facts about astronomy.

    Proven Science

The way that scientist started to prove something was by science, Study of nature, and mathamatics

    Observing the world around them

By Observing the world around them, Scientifics started to question the acient beliefs
  • Sep 20, 1543

    Earth centered theory

Copernicus' theory was published in 1543 and people paid little attention to it. He didnt have scientific instruments, or math to prove this. Until scientist Kelper and Galileo
  • Kelper and Galileo

Johannes Kepler used models, observation, and math testing copernicus' theory. Kelper published the laws of planetary motion in 1609. Galileo Galilei built a telescope and observed spots on the sun and moon, and the rings around saturn. Galileo used observation that not everything revolves around the sun. Kelper and Galileo proved with math, observation, models, and scientific instruments that Copernicus' theory was infact correct. This caused an uproar
  • Rene Descartes

Rene Descartes was another historic figure during the Scientific revolution. He believed that assumptions had to be proved with known facts. For example, his existence was proven because it was a fact that he could think. Descartes studied, geometry, algebra, astronomy, the scientific method, and physical science. Rene Descartes led the advanced in the field of math and science trumendusly.
  • Law of Universal Gravitation

Kelpers proof and Galilios falling objects are examples of the gravitation laws. "Newton tied together all things of Heaven and Earth." Because of this nobody says "God did it" anymore. Newton had a huge impact on science, he changed the way people saw the world.
  • Isaac Newton

Kelper, Galileo, and Copenicus proved that everything revolved around the sun. However, they didnt know how or why. Issac Newton proved this. After studying this and even writing a book on the three men, he descoverd that it was because of the Law Of Universal Gravitation. Gravity is the reason objects fall down towards the earth and is the force that holds planets to their orbits.
  • New Science

The new discovery's during the scientific revolution were spread across Europe. Thanks to the Scientific Method so much had been learned, it is now a guide that can easily be followed to learn something new. Scientist journals were now being published so that everyone can learn about the new studies in Europe.
  • Other Discoverys

Many more discovery's were made within the 1500s and the 1600s. For example, Gottfried Liebnitz and Issac Newton both developed a new branch of mathematics called calculus. Antoni van Leeuwenhoek discovered bacteria, he called them animalcules. Robert Boyle "helped to pioneer" Chemistry. In 1774 Joseph Priestly discovered oxygen, before this it was thought that fire was and element.
  • 1770

Around 1770 the understanding of science was broad. The scientific approach has spread across Europe, and the rate of discovery were very fast. This was a very small time spam for so much complicated information.
