The use of atomic bombs brought an end to WWII and ushered in a new age in the power of science and its effects on humans. A new form of nuclear energy could be harnessed for a level of destruction never before seen. Nagasaki and Hiroshima tragedies contributed to a general fear of death or mutation. -
