Detroit members of the Satanic Temple protested anti-abortion groups that were holding a protest the same day. -
Creation of Headquarters
The founders came together to create a headquarters out of a Victorian funeral home. -
Anti-spanking campaign
As part of the Protect Child Project, they protested to stop children from being hit in schools. -
Tax Exemption
The IRS deemed the Satanic Temple exempt from taxes as they were now as an official church. -
Arson
Daniel Lucey, a Chelsea resident, lit fire to the porch of the Satanic Temple Headquarters. No one was hurt but minimal damage was done to the porch and windows. -
Medical Clinic
The temple opened a clinic in New Mexico offering medication abortion. -
Terrorism
A bomb threat was made to the Satanic Temple and police took this threat seriously.
