Plot
The Sandlot is a classic kids movie that is one of my personal favorites! It is about a kid who moved to a different state and has no friends now. He is on his way to being a great baseball player and making lots and lots of new friends! -

There are about 13 characters in this movie! There is babe ruth, the mom, the dad, the mean dog, and the group of friends! -

There is a total of 9 kids who are all besties! They play baseball together every day! -
Character
Wendy Peffercorn is a lifeguard at the kid's local pool. One of the kids are madly in love with her! -
How They Met
The main character was desperate for new friends. He followed the group of kids to the baseball field. Then...... he got hit by the ball and everybody got mad at him... -
Meet Benny!
Benny is my favorite out of them all! He stuck up for the main character when all of the kids were laughing at him. Benny let the main character play ball with them, and then they were best friends after that day! Without Benny, the kid wouldn't have made any friends... this is a picture of benny! -
Rising action
Benny decided one day to teach the main character how to play ball. -

The main character finally learned how to catch and hit the ball. -
The first game
The main character was in his first game! They completely dominated the team of bratty spoiled kids! -
Exposition
It was hot as the desert out there... too hot to play ball. They decided to go to the pool! -
Rising Action
All of the kids were playing in the shallow side, since one of the kids couldn't swim... Guess who was there? Yep! Wendy Peffercorn!!!!!!!! -
Rising action
The kid who can't swim get the bright idea to jump in the deep end! He planned this whole thing out... -
Climax
Squints pretends to have drowned! Wendy thinks he is unconsious, so she gives him mouth to mouth cpr! He gives her a nice smooch, before obviously getting kicked out! -
Rising action
The group of kids decide to go to a carnival to celebrate the 4th of July! -
Up And Over!
One day, the kids hit a home run over the fence! -
Solution
When the ball goes over the fence, smalls grabbed the Babe Ruth signed ball, and they started to play with that ball! -
The Babe Ruth Ball
At this point, Smalls has no idea who Babe Ruth even is! So, the guys start playing. -
Doh!
Smalls hit his first ever home run! This wasn't really a good thing, though! -
Falling action
The guys were cheering for him, but smalls wasn't very happy... He told the guys that his dad kept this ball, and it was very important to him. His dad would be very mad! Smalls told the guys who it belonged to, and the guys, freaked out! -

So, at this point you are probably thinking... why not just hop the fence or knock on the door and grab the ball? Well the neighbor is super mean from theory, and the dog is a killer! -
Falling action.
The guys went for the move to hop the fence all at one time. The fence fell over, and the neighbor came out, and was actually really cool about it! They got the ball and another free ball!
