Ignatius' mascot is named the Golden Tornadoes. The name later changes to the Wildcats. -
Alma Mater Debuts
The Alma Mater of Saint Ignatius High School, composed by Jack Hearns, is debuted by the Ignatius Band at the first football game of the season. -
Fight Song Written
The Fight Song for Saint Ignatius is written by History teacher Joe Wood. This fight song is kept for the next 68 years and counting. -
Pedro Arrupe Visits
Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. visits the Saint Ignatius High School campus and mingles with the students. -
Fountain Pens and Homework
