  • Founding of Jamestown

    Founding of Jamestown
    The Jamestown colony fwas ounded by John Smith in 1607. It was one of the first succesful colonies in North America. It's purpose was to generate income.
  • House of Burgesses

    House of Burgesses
    The first assembly of elected representitives of English colonists in North America.
  • Founding of plymouth colony and mayflower compact

    Founding of plymouth colony and mayflower compact
    Plymouth was founded by John Smith as a safe haven for thoose fleeing religous persecution. The mayflower compact was the first geverning document of the Plymouth colony, it's purpose was to declare that the settlers use their own liberty.

    The colony was founded by owners of the Massachussets bay company. It was founded to aid in the colinazation of the new world.
