Nearly 200,000 workers swarmed the streets demanding that Russia leaves the war and that they get a better government form. The Duma gains control of Russia. -

Russian leader Lenin signed a treaty to get Russia out of WW1 and surrendered a large part of it’s territory in the process. -

Around 14 million Russians died in the civil war and in the famine that came after, and the Red Army survived and was victorious in the conflict. They now remain in control. -
Lenin's New Economic Plan
Lenin put aside a plan for a state-controlled economy, which they called the New Economic Policy. This is the stepping stones of making Russia into the communist Soviet Union. -
