Decembrist Revolt
A small group of people hoped to take over and turn Russia into a Constitutional Monarchy. Czar Nicholas the first stopped them. Before anything too bad happened. -
Serfs Were Amancipated
After a long time serfs were finally freed. The czar Alexander the second let the Serfs have some freedom. They got land and more food. -
Nicholas 2 became Czar of Russia
Nicholas became the Czar of Russia after Alexander. He wasn't ready to rule. He loved to be with his family and doing fun things. -
Bolsheviks and Mensheviks Split
The Bolsheviks and Mensheviks split. They were once one group called the Social Democratic labor party. The are now two different groups. -
Russian Japonese war
The war ended and Japan won. This was a bad defeat for Russia, and made things harder back home. -
Bloody Sunday
This day was when thousands of people who were unarmed and singing the czar's hymn. Then the soilders attack them, and there is a massacre. More than 100 people died and many more were wounded. -
The Revolution of 1905
This started with just a protest. Bloody Sunday was part of the revolution. The revolution had 400,000 people involed with it. People wanted change. -
Russia Enter WW1
Russia left for war without all of the necesary supplise inclueding amunition. 800,000 people had died during just the first few months. -
March Revolution
This went on for days before it was stopped. Czar Nicolas said it would be stopped by the tenth.They neede to use emergency supplise. It finally ended on March 13th. -
Czar Nicholas Abdicated the Throne
Czar Nicolas was forced to leave the thone. The armies wanted a Socialist reform. -
Czar Nicholas and Family are Killed
Czar Nicholas and family was assassinated by the Bolsheviks. The Family thought the were going to have a family portrait done. They were all shot to death. People thought two of the children lived, but there bodies were later found. -
Alexander Kerensky Became ruler of Russia
He became ruler of Russia when Nicholas became less of a leader. He was the prime minister of Russia. He grew up in the middle class of Russia. -
Bolsheviks Capture Winter Palace
This event was not a too terrible. The people defending gave up the palace pretty quikly. -
Russian Civil War
The Russian civil war was because of the Bolsheviks and The Mensheviks. The first battle of the Civil was on June 7th, 1918. This is when some people say the war started. The Bolsheviks won the war. -
Joseph Stalin becames Leader of Russia
Joseph Stalin became leader of Russia when Vladimir Lenin died. Stalin expanded the secret police. He also opposed anyone who did not like him.
