-Began as local protest which then lead to the March Revolution
-It failed to set up a strong government in order to replace the czar.
This plays a role in the revolution because it shows how the conditions in Russia got worse as these situations occurred. -
Bolsheviks in Power
-Lenin and the Bolsheviks gave workers control of factories
-Russia and Germany signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk which then made Russia surrender a large part of it's territory
-This plays a role because Russia is going to want that land back. -
Civil War Rages in Russia
-The White Army was the Bolsheviks enemies who opposed Lenin's style of socialism
-People were sent to help the White Army but they were no help and the Bolsheviks eventually gained power and kept it
This plays a role because Russia has weakened at this point against the Bolsheviks and want back what they had before that. -

-Lenin set aside a plan for a state-controlled economy
-The government had control of industries, and banks while some had private ownership over factories and businesses
-This plays a role in the revolution because of how the government was set up and how the people went about the idea of it.
