    Bloody Sunday was on a snowy Sunday afternoon. It was when thousands of protestors were outside Nicholas II home. They wanted "Land, Peace, and Bread." Then Nicholas II sent the military out and the military open fired on the protestors. Hundereds were killed.

    The March Revolution is when riots broke out in St. Petersburg. Workers were in soviets. The provisional government assumed power. Nicholas II abdciated after this event.

    Alexander Kerensky became the leader of Russia for the time being in the provisonal government. Nicholas II abdicates the throne so Russia needed a new leader fast. Kerensky had very little power as Lenin and the Bolsheviks were gaining lots of support and power.

    Lenin ordered an attack on the Winter Palace. Lenin got it pretty easily because the gaurds didn't resist.

    The Russian Civil War last from 1918-1922. One side was the Bolsheviks. They were the Reds and mostly known as communists. The other side were the supporters of the provisonal government. They were the Whites.

    About four months after Nicholas II abdicated the throne this tragic event occured. Nicholas II and his family were led into one of the basement rooms in their home. They thought they were taking a family picture. They were all dressed very nicely. Then a few military men came in and open fired on the family. They were murdered.

    Lenin died of a series of strokes. He died at a young age, 54. Then the next ruler was Josef Stalin. He was the one who ordered to destroy the church. He hated Nicholas II.
