    Czar Alexander II was killed in the streets of St. Petersburg by a bomb thrown by a member of the group “People's Will”. His death got rid of the two political party system that was put in place on the day he died. His son was the one who decided to get rid of the new system and the assassins were hung.

    Nicholas II was crowned czar of Russia on May 26, 1896. He was the last Czar ever to be crowned before the reign of the Czars had ended.     The February revolution was started because many people had lost faith in their leaders. There was a lot of poverty and people were starting to starve. The family was supposed to be rescued but it was called off and they were put to death instead.

    The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was established after all of the revolutions in Russia. It comprised of a confederation of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, and the Transcaucasian Federation. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was the next government after the Russian empire ended. It was the first communist government in the world and gave the idea to the other european superpowers.

    Vladimir Lenin was the first leader of the Soviet Union. He led the country from December, 30 1922 until the day he died. He died from a brain hemorrhage when he was 54 years old. He was responsible for the collapse of the reign of the Czars and the Bolshevik party. He was succeeded by Joseph Stalin who carried out the war.
