The Decembrist Revolt
The Decembrist Revolt was to set up a constitutional monarchy. Nicholas then sent his troops and killed five leaders and the rest were sent to Siberia. This inspired more moves to advise fair government. -
Czar Alexander II Emancipated the Serfs
Surfs now could sell more of their surpluse. They also had a little more rights than they used to have. A lot of the people were surfs and happy but soon Alexander the third took the right away. -
Nicholas II becomes czar of Russia
People are happy to have a new Czar replacing Alexander the Third. Nicholas the Second did not even want to become the Czar. He only really liked to play with his kids and just didn't like to Govern at all. -
The Russo-Japanese War
The Russo War was fought for a Southern body of water that Russia wanted from the Japanese. People protested against it and soon Bloody Sunday occured. Many people were against the war and dying and soon Russia stopped fighting for it. -
Bloody Sunday
People went into Winter Palace for a peacful protest about the Russo War and soon soliders went in and shot them all. The people were very mad when they heard about the matter and what just happend and then Nicolas the Second got a nick name called Bloody Nicolas. -
The Revolution of 1905
It started from Bloody Sunday and the people rioted all around towns and cities. Peasants burned their owners houses and barns and so many other actions. Nicholas then set up Duma but it wasn't that good but still the people excepted it. -
The Social-Democratic Labor Party splits into two groups, Mensheviks and Bolsheviks
Soon World War One started and Russia wanted to help France and the British to take down Germany. The people oppoosed to this because of Russia being in pieces already. Nicolas then went to the war and there was no one running it until he came back. Soon Russia went out of the war because of being very poor operated. -

Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
Czar Nicolas eventually has to give his command to Lenin from all the protests and all the troubles going on. The Czar abdicated the throne a week after the riots in Petrograd. -
The March Revolution
It started when people marched into Petrogad were riots and strikes started. The crowed was complaining about the shortage of food that was there and to get out of the war. When soldiers were called to stop the protesting, they refused to shoot them and actually joined in. -
The Russian Civil War begins
This is when the Bolsheviks became named the Communists. It was a war between democratic socialisum and capitalism for Russia's groups. The Communists army was the Reds while the British, French, and Americans were the Whites. Eventually the Reds won and the country was then the Soviet Union and they set up a NEP. The people were a little happier because it gave peasents more freedom of what they wanted to do with their surplus. -
Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks capture the Winter Palace
Vladimir Lenin then took over the Winter Palace to change the Provisional Government. They also had the objective to make Russia's Government as a whole to Communism. Some people were against bringing in Communisum but yet most just wanted a new Government. -
Alexander Kerensky becomes the leader of the provisional government
Alexander had to change a few things. He had to change more things to make the government more Communists. He also had to end some things to NEP. -
Nicholas II and his family are executed
Nicholas and his family went into a basement for what they thought to get their picture taken and soon they were all killed. People were never told but the leader was Lenin that took over the Government. Lenin then killed everyone who remembered the Government that used to be in place and the Czar. -
Vladimir Lenin dies and Joseph Stalin becomes leader of the Soviet Union
Once Lenin died Joseph Stalin, who was his successor, took control of the new Communist Party. Stalin also was going to continue everything that Lenin did. Stalin mainly continued the New Economic Policy. The peasants were glad that they still have some rights and that Stalin carried on NEP.
