Nicholas II becomes the Czar of Russia
Czar Nicholas II is the last Romanov ruler(czar) of Russia. Nicholas II abdicated in 1917 because the Russian people did not trust him. 80% of the population were poor serfs and living conditions were very bad. Also, Russia had just entered WW1, which was a disputed choice and had cost Russia a large amount of money. The Russians felt that they could not trust Nicholas II anymore, so he abdicated.
