The Decembrist Revolt
The decembrist revolt was a rebellion tat occured in 1825 when Decembrists which are made up of comprised officers that had been introduced to Western liberal ideas. They proposed they idea of a representative democracy but could not come up with which form they would take. Some people favored constitutional monarchy but on the other hand poeple also supported democratic republican. -
Czar Nicholas II was crowned
Czar Nicholas II was crowned after the death of his father Czar Alexander the III. Nicholas married Alexandra and were czar and czarina in may 1896. -

A war were the Japanese fought Russia about its expansion policy in the east. Japan won the war and forced them to get rid of the policy. They both wanted dominace in Korea and that is where the rivalry began for the Russians and the Japanese. -

Sometimes called the Bogside massacre because British soldiers shot 26 umarmed civillians during a protest against imprisonment of people. -

After the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria an escalation of threats that led to the outbreak of World War I between Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and Japan and later in 1917 Th United States joined the Allied Powers. -
The March Revolution
he March Revolution happened when Czar Nicholas II went to war without many supplies causing Russia to lose millions of lives. Those that had fought had to face major food shortages which transfered to the people of Russia. That led to riots and striking for food because the people of Russia were starving. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates the throne
Nicholas led his country into war without many supplies. Some soldiers did not even have guns. Nicholas made every company focus on supplies for the world and food became scarce. Soon people began to protest and in March 1917 he was forced to abdicate becasue now soldiers were striking against him -
Russian Civil War
Teh Russian Civil war had been fought between the Reds and the Whites. The Red army also were know as the Bolsheviks and the White army were also known as the Mensheviks. Vladimir Lenin was with the Red army and took over Russia growing by the thousands. Soon Russia was under Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks control. -
Creation of the USSR
THe Union of Soviet Socialist Rebublics aslo known as the USSR was created as the Civil War of Russia ended. It created a centralized federal government where key funtions were centralized in Moscow. -
Vladimir Lenin's Death
Lenin died because of brain hemmorrhage at the age of 54. He was the architect of the Bolshevik revolution and the first leader of the Soviet Union.
