Bolsheviks take over
The Bolshevicks lead by Lenin attack government buildings and other landmarks and soon take over the provisional government in Petrograd. -
Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
Lenin sighned the treaty of Brest-Litovsk which gave up a huge peice of their territory and population but there would be no more fights -
communist Party
Bolshevick party changed it's name to the communist party -
assasination attempt
an assasination attemp on Lenin left him with serios injuries. -
Communist won
the communist wonthe civil war but were left in chaos. Lenin then had to rebuild the nation and economy. -
NEP
After Lenin had almost collapsed the economy he made the NEP or New Economic Policy which aloud some capitalist ventures to exist. This then made it possible for Peasants to keep small plots of land and sell their surplus crops. -
Stalin apointed seceratary
Stalin is appionted secertary. -
Communists produce constitution
communists produced a constitution that provided ideals from democratic and socialists. This made it so that citezens 18 and older could vote. -
soviet Union
The soviet union was founded with Lenin as the leader. -
Lenin suffers a stroke
Lenin had a stroke. -
Lenin suffers a second stroke
Lenin suffers a second stroke and retires from politics. -
Lenin died
Lenin died and his body was preserved and placed in red sqaure for more than 65 years. -
Britian breks off relaations
Britian broke off relations with soviet union after they turned a strike into a revolution. -
economy recovered
The communism and capitalism was what the Soviet Union needed to recover from its economic crisis. By 1928 food and production rose to what it had been before WWI. -
1st five-year Plan
Stalin annouces first five-year plan which states that the government makes all decisions and owns all businesses. -
Stalin Takes over
Stalin beat Trotsky and later had him murdered in Mexico with an ice axe. -
religious property seized
religious property was seized and turned into offices and muesams. -
school
everyone was given the oppurtunity to attend school including technical and universities. -
replaced religion with sacred texts
religion was replaced with sacred texts of Marx and Lenin. -
great purge
Stalin launched the great purge. During it Stalin cracked down on old bolshevicks, armyheroes, industrial managers, writers, and citezens. -
