Revolutionary Movement Grows
Working conditions, low wages, and child labor in factories started the revolt. Workers wanted control of the government- it's called Proletariat, but others created the Bolsheviks, which in the long run became more successful. This was practically the start of the whole Russian Revolution. -
The Russo-Japanese War
Russia went back on their word with Japan on the territories of Korea and Manchuria. The Japanese retaliated by attacking Russians port in Manchuria. It shows how weak and sly the government is with other countries. -
Bloody Sunday
Workers and their families approached the czar's Winter Palace with a petition for better working conditions. It provoked more riots to start, because of the soldiers that were told to fire among the crowd. It showed how inconsiderate the government was for their workforce, has for the conditions that had to deal with. -

World War I: The Final Blow
The Economy could not handle the cost of the war, the Nicholas II decided to still put the Russians in the war. The Russians had weak generals and soldiers, and lost every battle they encountered. It showed the bad decisions by Nicholas II, that were supposed to help Russia. -
March Revolution
Shortage of bread and fuel angered Russians and led them to revolt against autocracy. Soldiers were supposed to fire at the crowd of rioters but decided to side with them. It's important because it shows that the government was weak and didn't have a lot of support. -
Bolsheviks in Power
Lenin gave the workers and peasants what they wanted, which made him be liked more. The Russians pulled out of WWI and signed the treaty of Brest-Litovsk, which gave land to Germany and its allies. When the treaty was signed everyone was angry and turned on Lenin, this shows that the people didn't have a say in the signing, which is overall what the people wanted. -

Civil War rages in Russia
Groups that opposed Lenin created the white army, but weren't led very well and constantly got in arguments. US sent aid to help the Bolshevik red army, but was little help. The Bolsheviks ended up wining the war. This shows that the Bolsheviks could seize power and maintain/control it. -

Stalin Became Dictator
He played his way into power by setting up his supporters in high government positions to secure his spot as dictator. He exiled his "competition(Trotsky)" and became a(n) absolute dictator. It shows the weak government and angered people, because they wanted a say in things that happened in the country. -
