    In 1825 Russian army officers led about 3000 soldiers in a revolt again czar Nicholas I in his assumption of the throne. Although fighting hard, they were unsuccessful in there attempt. Many leaders of this revolt we killed or exiled.

    Nicholas II became the Czar after his father. Although Nicholas was czar of Russia, he had no intentions of being czar He was mainly interested in his wife and family. Many people at the time thought that he had become to focused on his family and did not realize how russia was falling apart.

    Russia started this war because they needed more land. Their main target was a main water port that could hold there military. Because Japan and Russia could not come to an agreement. In attempts to get this port, Russia declared war on Japan. In the end Russia wasnt able to obtain the port.

    This event came to be known as bloody Sunday because of the innocent, unarmed demonstrators were fired upon and killed by soldiers. As blood spread the streets in St. Petersburg, this event became known as Bloody Sunday

    Russia was part of the allies in this war. They teamed with France and the United Kingdom. Russia waas not prepared for this war. Although they had 5 million men ready for combat, they only had supplies and weapons for about 4.4 million men.

    People of russia came together for riots, and protests trying to change the rule of the czar. This is a major turning point because as Nicholas II calls for his army to help him, they join the revolt, and help the civilians over through the czar.

    Czar Nicholas II was the last czar to rule russia. The majority of the people we unhappy with his rule, and rebeled against him. As thousands of civilians revolted, Nicholas II lost the loyalty of his soldiers as well. The revolt was too much for him, and he was forced to abdicate the throne.

    The civil war consisted of two sides that disagreed on the political future of Russia. The Red army, were the Bolshevics, who stood for socialism. The white army stood for other such as monarchism and capitalism. In the end of the war, the Red army won, leading the Russia empire to become the Soviet Union.

    Lenin was the man that changed the Russian Empire into the Soviet Union. Lenin led the Soviet Union for only thirteen short months before dying from a stroke. After Lenins death Stalin took power, and continued to lead the USSR
