February Revolution
Tsar Nicholas II from power. There was many violent protests and demonstrations in Petrograd. People were losing faith in the leadership against the the cazrist regime. -
July days
Protests against the provisional government. The bolsheviks fail at trying to direct the protests into a coup. This is important because it forces Lenin to go into hiding -
October revolution
The bolsheviks take over Petrograd. Now it is under control of the bolsheviks. -
Nicholas II
Nicholas II, Alexander III's son, was in power during the Russian revolution 1917. He was executed by the bolsheviks for his bad handling of certain situations. -
Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
Germany and Russia sign the treaty of brest-litovsk. This takes Russia out of WWI. -
Stalin
Dictator of the USSR. Transformed a peasant society into an industrial and military country. He ruled with terror and millions of people died while under his rule.
