Czar Nicholas II abdicates- Mar 15,1915
Because of the terrible result of the Japanese War and the start of the Russian Revolution of 1905, Czar Nicholas II had proven to not be ready to handle the job of being a ruler and instead turning to a provincial government to take his place. -
Rasputin Assassinated
Although he was known as a drunk and a former peasant, his ability to save Czar Nicholas’ son Alexei, caused the ruler and his wife to be in debt to him. While Nicholas would leave to fight it WWI Rasputin used Czarina, Czar’s wife, to rule Russia which gained him enemies. A group of nobles shot Rasputin after an attempt to poison him and had to shoot him again when he beat one of his attackers. After all this he was still alive so they tied him up and threw him into the river. -

Lenin shipped by Germans to Russia
the Germans sent Lenin back to Russia in hope that he would cause more revolting so that Russia would drop out of the war against Germany in WWI. -
Communist control in Russia
Soon after gaining control of Russia, the Bolsheviks changed the name of the organization to the All Russian Communist Party. They also began using the policy of war communism to take control of the economy causing the starvation of many citizens due to the selfishness of the Bolsheviks. -
Lenin signs Treaty of the Brest-Litovsk
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine all declared independence from Russia. -
Royal Family murdered
The Bolsheviks executed Czar Nicholas II and his family in Yekaterinburg, Russia which ended his family's 300 year old dynasty. -
Bolshevik Revolution
Also known as the October revolution, was led by the Bolsheviks where they began occupying the government buildings followed by the attack and capture of The Winter Palace(the capital of Russia).
