Alexander II
Coming to the throne in 1855, he was pressed with liberal ideas. Finally in 1861, he issued aa royal decree that requires emancipation, or freeing the serfs. -
March 1881
A cold day where Alexander III's father was assassinated by 2 terrorist bombers. -
Alexander III
Wiping out liberal ideas and revolutions, he increased the power of the secret police, and restored strict censorship. During russiafication, he aimed at suppressing the cultures of non-russian people within the empire. With the pogroms, or violent mob attacks on the jews, this is what caused the jews to later revolt. -

Last emporer of Russia. He secured foreign capital to invest in transportation system and industry. -
