Ruben Bustamante
I was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 7, 2000. I became the second born from Nolberto and Leonarda Bustamante. They named me Ruben after my grandma had suggested it. -
Visit to Mexico
I went to Mexico for the first time in 2007. It was a great experience because I got to meet many Aunt's and cousins I had over their. Specifically, I went to Guerrero Mexico where my Grandpa and Grandma lives. They were such sweet people, always loving and caring for us while we were over their. -
7th Birthday
My seventh birthday was by far by favorite birthday to date. My dad had given me the PlayStation 2 for my birthday along with a Simpsons driving game. Fun fact is that it was Month 7, Day Seven, year 7, and I was turning 7. I just thought it was the coolest thing ever. I still have my PlayStation to this day, its just I don't play it because i'm scared It will break. -
First Communion
I did my first communion in 2010. I attended Catechism classes for about two years, as well as attended church every Sunday I could. Catechism was fun because I got to meet lots of new people, as well as learn about God. The day my sister and I graduated from Catechism class we were very happy. Our family even threw us a big party to Celebrate the event. -
My First Dog
I got my first dog when I was ten years old. It was a Female German Shepherd, and I was so happy. My parents decided it was time for the family to have a dog to keep us company. We named her Emma, shes very sweet with us but aggressive with strangers. Thankfully Emma is still with us today. -
Bestfriend
My very First Best Friend I think I ever had was Jonathan Flores. He is currently a senior as well here at Westwood High school. We became best friends in 6th grade at Edison Elementary. He was just always there for me, and he was like a brother to me. Our parents knew each other as well which made bond even stronger. -
First Job
I got my very first job in 2016 at Little Caesars on Horne and Brown. I had friends that worked there so getting hired wasn't a problem. But what that really meant was that work would be fun. And to my surprise, it was. I worked in the back of the store washing dishes, or for the most part on sheet-outs. -
First time in Cali
For the first time in my life, I had gone out of state to a place within the U.S., and it was California. My parents decided that before summer Vacation was over, that we'd go to California for a weekend. And so we did! We drove for 8 hours to Los Angeles, California and arrived to Universal Studios as soon as they opened. I cannot explain the feeling, but it was truly a great one. Seeing all the rides and people enjoying themselves made me happy. -
My Permit
I knew it was always important to learn to drive due to transportation issues. Therefore, I took my permit test here at Westwood High School and passed. I got my permit, so then my dad began showing me to drive. I still haven't gone for the license test, but I know I will soon! -
Graduation
I will be Graduating from Westwood High School on May 24th, 2018. That day will be a huge accomplishment for me as I will be first generation grad student. I will miss the tons of friends I made throughout my high school career. After Graduation, I plan on attending Mesa Community College for two years, then two years at ASU for Business and Management.
