Very soon after he was inagurated, John Hinckley Jr. shot a gun at President Reagan. The bullet peirced his lung and nearly missed his heart. -

The Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization are the people who man towers and radar centers. They threatened to go on strike to get a raise. The government employees were a threat to public safety. So Ronald Reagan threatened to fire them all in 48 hours if they did the strike. It worked! -

This Act, which was Reagan's proposal, was passed by Congress. It was one of the first revisions to the code in a long time. This Act toughened penalties for crime, especially drid dealers, and kept hazardous people behind bars. -

Reagan speaks at the famed Berlin wall. It was a symbol of communism to the world. He challenges Mikhail Gorbachev to tear the wall down. He does. -
Reagan stops the Cold War
Ronald Reagan makes an agreement with Mikhail Gorbachev, the leader of the Soviet Union. They agree to make no more nuclear missles against eachother. This is a good thing too, becasue the Soviet Union was running out of money!
