    Reagan made it illegal to helps the contras but news broke out of Reagan's adminitration helping and sending weapons to Iran to free some hostages.

    Strategic Defense initaive (SDI), called for the development of weapons that could intercept and destroy incoming missiles.

  • Grenada - Forgien Policy

    There was an invasion in Carribean Island, Grenada was the first major foreign event of the administration. Reagan j the invasion by saying that the cooperation of the island with communist Cuba posed a threat to the US. When Grenada's governor-general announced the resumption of the constitution and appointed a new government, the US forces withdrew.

    Ronald Reagan wins the 1984 election. Going against former Vice- president, Walter Mondale, Reagan wins in a landslide.

    Reagan started building up the U.S Military and he believed the U.S should support guerrilla groups who were fighitng to overthrow communist or pro-Soviet governments
