    The Founding of Rome
    “The Founding of Rome” describes the legend of Romulus and REmus, and the birth of Rome. Long ago before the Eternal City was born, there was a kingdom that had a king, he had a daughter, the princess. He had decided that there shall be no male heirs. Unfourtunately the princess then gave birth to twin boys, the father was Mars, the messenger god. The Princess decided to put them in a basket and to free them on the Tiber River.

    There was a she-wolf that reared them until a sheperd killed the she-wolf and adopted the twins. When they became older they had a conflict and REmus was killed. Romulus named his land Rome. That is how Rome was born. I infer that killed your family was used in those days.

  • The Etruscans

    “The Etruscans” featured their Daily Life, Religious Beliefs, and Tombs of Gold. Around 800 B.C. On a rolling hill country north of the Latin village. They spoke a different language language from the Latin village. They spoke a different language from the Latin people. They enjoyed having a good time. . I infer that the Etruscans liked the traditions of the other civilizations. As traders they were admired and respected. Etruscan farmers used mostly iron tools to grow barley, wheat, etc .
  • Daily Life

    They enjoyed bright colors and just having a good time! They gambled was ivory dice, their games were very similar to our chess. They loved dancing and music. They would often play an instrument similar to the flute. Through dances they would gain favors from the gods. Like us, they would watch and take part in wrestling , boxing , horse racing.
  • Religious Beliefs

    They had their own Etruscan gods that modeled the Greek gods. Humans believed they were in the center of the universe. They also believed that the universe was divided in provinces. They believed that humans were powerless against the gods. Soothsayers would read the future and would give “signs” to the gods.
  • Tombs of Gold

    When they died they held a banquet .The dead were buried in tombs called “Catacombs” . In the catacombs there were paintings of their daily life, like the Egyptians. When they died they held a banquet in honor of the victim. They thought that there was a place after earth. So they carved the tombs out of natural rocks.
  • The Romans and Etruscans

    “Etruscans and Romans” explores their Daily Life. They were poor farmers. They usually wore white togas for clothes. Their greatest meal of the day was dinner, they ate dinner at 3:00 pm. While eating dinner they would lie down. Roman boys would go to school around the age of seven, while the girls remained at home with their mothers. The boys learned their language and they would learn all about music and literature. They were more culturally advanced than Latin People. The Etruscans borrowed
