  • Robotic History 1950

    In 1950 Alan Turing proposed an idea on whether or not robots could think for themselves. He stated that for the robot to pass the test the machine must be an identical from a human in a conversation. This test was known as the "Turing Test"
  • Robotic History 1954

    Two men with the names George Devol and Joe Engleberger created the first programmable robot arm. This then later came to be the first industrial robot, completing repetitive and dangerous tasks on an assembly line.

    The United States successfully landed Neil Armstrong on the moon using the latest in computing and robotics technology.

    The first LEGO robotic products are now available to buy and Honda dispatches a project to build a walking humanoid robot.

    Carnegie university created an 8-legge walking robot,
    named Dante II. The robot then went on to descend to Mt Spur to collect volcanic gas samples
