  • The Birth of Benjamin Franklin

    The Birth of Benjamin Franklin
    HIs was the birth of the great mind of Benjamin Franklin. He would live another 84 years before passing away, but before that day, hewould help the colonies with their separation from England. He didn't fight nor did he lead, he only help draft the Treaty of Paris in 1783. He was a member of the Sons of Liberty.
  • Birth of George Washington

    Birth of George Washington
    Born on Feburary 22, 1732, George Washington played probably the most important role during the war. He was the commander and chief of the militia that fought the British and named the first President of the United States.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    A riot broke out in a street of Boston. British guards were blocking of a church to stop the rioting, but the rioters came with clubs and one club hit a British guard. The guard opened fire into the cowrd, and the other guards fired as well. This resultede in the deaths of 4 white men and one black man. This would help spark the revoulution even further.

    Boston Tea Party
    A British ship held over 100 boxes of tea, and the Sons of Liberty dressed as natives. They boarded the ship and tossed every crate over the side of the vessel. This would lead to the Intolerable Acts.
  • THe Battle Lexington and Concord

    THe Battle Lexington and Concord
    The British troops were on their way to Concord, but were interupted at Lexington. The minutemen fought the British at Lexington with 8 minutemen dead to 1 British soldier. They marched to Concord and engaging any minutemen they found. At Concord, a stalemate happened. A shot was heard and both sides opened fire. 250 British soldiers were dead.
  • The Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown
    This was the last battle of the Revolutionary War. Lord Cornwallis aattacked Yorktown as a last effort to take the colonies. His naval ships were surrounded by the French and his ground troops were under attack by the colonists. His forces surrendered in October 1781.
