The Enlightenment
the enlightenment the Enlightenment was a period of time where reason and logic were stressed over blind faith and superstition. I would rate this as a 2 on the influence it had on the American Revolution beause although they were going on at the same time, they were not directly related. Indirectly some of the ideas of sciene may have been exchanged and influenced some decisions but overall did not contribute a whole lot. -

the seven years war In the French and Indian War, the British and the Colonists fought against the French and the Native Americans. The British won. I would rate this event as a 1 beause it did not have much to do at all with the American Revolution. -
Proclamation Line of 1763
Proclamation Line of 1763 The Proclamation Line of 1763 was the result of the French and Indian War. It forbid all colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains in order to avoid fights with the Native Americans. I would rate this as a 1 becasue it hardly contributed anything to the American Revolution except the gain of safe property to settle on. -
Stamp Act
stamp act The Stamp Act taxed all printed documents by requiring the purchase of a stamp. I think that the Stamp Act should be ranked with an importance of 4 becasue it wasn't drastically important but it led to the Boston Massacre which very much angered the British. -
Boston Massacre
Boston Massacre The Boston Massacre was a conflict that was dramaticized by colonies journalists to make it look like the British were killing the colonists. When really it wasn't out of animosity that the British soldiers killed the protestors. In total five colonists were killed. I would rate this event as a 4 in the overall sceme of things as it did not greatly contribute to the colonists rebelling -
Tea Act
Tea The Tea Act was a British way to try and show dominance over the colonists by placing a tax on tea.
I think that the Tea Act should be ranked with an importance of 4 becasue it wasn't drastically important but it led to the Boston Tea Party which may have been the tipping point for the British. -
Boston Tea Party
Boston Tea Party The Boston Tea Party was a protesting act by the Sons of Liberty on the rediculous Tea Tax. Togeather they threw hundreds of cases of British tea into the Boston Harbour. I would rate this protest and the effect it had on the overall American Revolution as a 6 beause it angered the British and allowed the Americans to get a sense that the British couldn't really control them. -
Intolerable Acts
join or die The Intolerable Acts were a group of acts to punish the colonists for the boston tea party I would rate the importance of this event as a 6 because the British were already mad and these ridiculous rules made the Americans furious and started an army. -
First Continental Congress
First Continental Congress The First Continental Congress was a meeting between 12 of the delegates in order to compose a letter to King George III addressing the Intolerable acts. I would rate the First Continental Congress as a 5 because it started the idea of having a meeting between states to discuss the welbeing of the colonies. -
Battles at Lexington and Concord
Lexington and Concord The Battles at Lexington and Concord were in massechusetts where the British solidiers were attacked by Colonists. The colonists lost but their army soon grew in size as more and more people volunteered to fight. I would rate this event as a 7 because it showed that the Americans were willing to fight. It also taught them that Guerilla warfare worked. -
Second Continental Congress
Second Continental Congress The Second Continental Congress was a meeting between the delegates in order to discuss the battles at Lexington and Concord. They also disussed the posibility of independance. After much argueing they decided that declaring independance was the best option. I would rate the Second Continental Congress as a 9 becasue it is was made the decision to go to war. -
Declaration of Independence

I would rate this document with an importance of 9 because it was what seperated us from the British
