French & Indian War
This war was part of the Seven Years War and fought between Great Britian and France with help from Native Americans. Great Britain was victorious and left in debt. This debt led them to impose new taxes on colonists. -
Proclamation of 1763
The proclamaition was issued to protect the land gained from the French and Indian War from settlement by the colonists, protect the fur trade, and keep the peace with Native Americans. King George sent troops to protect the land. -

The Boston Tea Party
Under the Tea Act the East India Company received a majority of the tea market which angered colonists. It also removed some tea taxes, but that didn't satisfy colonists. The East India Tea Company ignored warnings of possible trouble and shipped tea to the colonies. At midnight colonists dressed as Native Americans threw tea overboard -
