The result of this conflict was the beginning of the Revolutionary War. The generals involved in this battle were Thomas Gage, John Parker and Francis Smith. Paul Revere made his famous ride telling the people the british are coming. -
Second Continental Congress
The second Continental Congress took place at the Pennsylvania state house in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The second Congress managed the colonial war effort, and moved incrementally towards independence, adopting the United States Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Colonial leaders involved included George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock and Ben Franklin. -
