The king would govern England and deal with its people according to federal laws.

Was written framework of the United States first Government.
Was made to prevent dissent amongst Puritans and non-separatist Pilgrims. -
English Bill Of Rights
Was a English precursor to the Constitution along with the Magna Carta. The Bill asserted that Englishmen had inalienable civil and political rights. Gave people rights that they did not have before. -
French and Indian War
The French and Indian War was a 7 year battle between The French and the British. First part of the war the French dominated in battles such as Fort Oswego and Ticonderoga. Albany Plan Of Union
Was a plan proposed by Albany Congress one being Benjamin Franklin. It did happen but with a couple different modifications.

King George III Takes Power
He opposed the independence of the colonies. Due to the costs of garrisoning and collecting little tax they, gave up on the colonies. This allows America to become independent from Bitian. -
Stamp Act
Required that all printed materials in the colonies required a stamp. The colonists didnt send a represntative to parliement so they hadno say in the tax. Many colonits considered it a violation of their rights. -
Boston Massacre

Boston Tea Party
In Boston Harbour a group of Massachusets colonists disquised as indians went into 3 British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea. From this came the Intolerable Acts in 1774. The colonists then called the first Continentail Congress to form a resistance against the British. -
Intolerable Acts
The British were angry at the colonies for the Boston Tea Party so they passed these acts. The acts closed the Boston ports until all the tea was payed for, also the Birtish soldiers were to be quarted in their houses -

The First Continental Congress convened in Philidelphia Carpenters Hall. Tomas Jefferson introduced a Summary View of the Rights of British America. Joseph Galloway introduced a Plan of Union of Great Britian and the Colonies. -

This was the battle that started the Revolutionary War. The British forces were controlled by Colonel Smith, Major Pitcairne, and Lord Percy. The Americans were led by Berrett, Buttrick, and Robinson. Paul Revere and William Dawes rode thorugh towns warining them on the way to Concord -

Also known as the bill of rights, the petition grants the people rights of life, liberty, and property. Also the right to defend their property. Other rights were freedom of speech, freedom of press, ans freedom of religion. The petition was drafted by James Maddison.
