    French And Indian War
    The F and Indian War which can also be known as the 7 year war. This war was caused by competition between Britain and France for control over North American territories. The effect of the war was a British victory that led to France giving most of its north American lands to Britain. War began in 1754 while ending in 1763 with the Treaty of Paris. Significantly changing colonial landscape.

    Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamation of 1763 was issued to stabilize rebellion with Americans by stopping settlers from moving west of the Appalachian Mountains. The colonists had been angry because they wanted to expand the west ward increased tensions with Britain and percent conflicts with Native Americans after the French and Indian war. This contributed to the desire for independence leading to the Revolutionary war. while also banning settlers from moving west of the Appalachian Mountains.

    Sugar Act PT 1
    A British law that taxed sugar and molasses that were imported into the American colonies. Main cause was that Britain needed to pay off their taxes from the French and Indian war and to be able to cover the costs of maintaining troops in the colonies. The effect was widespread anger among the colonists who felt it was unfair to be taxed without their consent. which led to an increase in resentment towards the British rule. The Act passed in March 1764 followed by colonial protest and boycotts.

The effect had also led to increased smuggling from the colonist, and made colonist merge groups which helped organize colonial resistance and communication against British policies.

    British laws passed in 1767 that taxed goods like paper, paint, glass, & tea. The British needed money to pay off their war debts and maintain their troops. Colonist protested because they had no representation in parliament, which had led them to boycotts and groups like the sons of Liberty. These Acts had increased tensions and helped unite the colonies against Britain.

    Caused by rising tension that was between British soldiers and American colonists, who were angry about British taxes and the presence of troops in Boston. Due to unpopular taxes like the Townshend acts. That night colonists harassed British soldiers leading to a larger confrontation soldiers had fired into the crowd. which resulted in 5 dead colonists that night.

    The tea act had led to making the Boston tea party happen, later that year. this had also led to many protests and the act of defiance showing tensions and leading to the intolerable acts uniting the colonies against the British rule.

    The tea act let the British east Indian company sell tea directly to the colonies with a lower price, even with the tax included. They thought this would make the tea more appealing to the colonists and reduce the smuggling. The colonists were angry because it hurt the colony's local merchants.

    The Boston tea party was a direct result from the tea act, which had allowed British east Indian companies to sell tea directly to the colonists without taxes. which had hurt the colonies local merchandise. The colonists had dressed as Native Americans, filled with feathers. The colonist then proceeded to dump 342 chest of tea into the Boston harbor to protest. Some said the harbor was stained the color of tea.

The British government had to "punish" Boston for what they had done. this was imposed by Britain on the American colonies. This cause was the colonial outrage over these punitive measures.

    The effect was the unification of the colonies in their resistance against British rule. This led to the creation of continental association and the decision to boycott British goods.

    The 2nd continental congress act had begun from a meeting due to escalating conflicts they had with Britain. after the battles of Lexington and Concord as tensions between the colonies and Britain escalated into armed conflict. Which created the continual army, led by George Washington and attempted peach with olive branch petition, which ended with being declined.
