End of the French and Indian War
Dear Mother,
The French and Indian War has ended and the French lost, but we are now in debt because of all the supplies that we had to buy. We are now settling in the Ohio River Valley; and this has led us to conflict with the Native Americans on the frontier.
Love your son,

The Proclamation of 1763
Dear Diary,
Today all of the colonists were banned from settling west of the Appalachian Mountain. It's because of the Proclamation of 1763.That means that all of the people living west of that line have to move east. The reason that we cannot go there is because King George the 3rd believes that, even though we won that land, if he cannot protect all of us then we cannot go in that area. All of us are very mad about it.
Sincerely, Charles D. Whickershire -
The Sugar Act
Journal #1
Sugar and molasses have been taxed! Also, all other things that the colonies import will be taxed. Another thing is that the King doesn't even care that we are in debt. People have tried to smuggle goods, but the soldiers have been tougher on the search for the goods. This has made the colonists scream out this new born quote "Taxation with out representation is tyranny." We have now started to protest, compain, and send petitions to the King.

The Quartering Act
Dear Mother,
It has been a few days since the end of the war and now we have soldiers banging on our doors. They are making us feed them and provide then with a place to stay while they are waiting for another war to break loose. I have no idea what I am going to do I already have to take care of the familiy I have now. Please write back and suggest things I can do.
Love your son,

Townshed Act
Dear Mother,
Britian has taken away the tax on goods in the colonies, but taxed all imports including lead, tea, glass, and other such things. Also, King George the 3rd has allowed British custom officals to search all ships, and they call that document "The Writs of Assistance." I belive, and all the other colonist belive that this is still a tax and rights are still being violated. We are going to smuggle goods into the colonies and reduce imports to the colonies.

The Boston Massacre
Journal #2,
Two days ago, on March 5,1770, a bloody massacre happened. Eight British soldiers were here with their muskets and an angry mob was throwing stones, chunks of snow and ice, and they were hitting the British soldiers with clubs! The soldiers fired their guns and 3 people where shot instantly.More tomorrow. Good night. -
The Tea Act of 1773
Journal #4,
The Tea act has happened. The tea is being imported dirctly from British East India co. Our tea is still being taxed at 3 pence a pound. The company that owns this tea can choose who can sell the tea and who can't. It is putting people out of business! it is giving the British a tea monopoly. -
The Boston Tea Party!
Dear Mom,
The Boston Tea Party has happended! 90,000 pounds of tea is in the Boston Harbor. The Sons of Liberty had it organized. About 10,000 pounds in British currency of tea was dumped!

The First Continental Congress
Dear Mother,
The first continental congress is happening. All13 colonies except for Georgia were there. John Jay, John Adams, Sam Adams, and George Washington were missing too. They went there to figure out what should be done about the Intolerable Act. The Continental Congress decided to demand repeal, train militias and boycott goods, and they said that we had the right to tax and govern ourselves.
Love, Charles D. Whickershire -
Intolerable Act
Journal Entry #4
The British has closed the port of Boston, until tea is paid for! All trials have been moved to England, and the British have banned all town meetings. What are we going to do!? This is strengthening the Quartering Act too. Everything is going down hill. It's a disaster.

Paul Revere's Ride
Dear Diary,
Today Paul Revere, Sam Prescott, and Billy Dawes came riding into town on horses screaming "The Regulars are coming, the Regulars are coming!" They rode through Lexington and Concord and others too. Also, the British were chasing after them. It was very rushing and fast. Everyone was warned.
Sincerly,

The Battles of Lexington and Concord
Today 700 British troops headed into Concord to seize all munitions. When they came 77 minutemen were waiting for the British. Then shots were fired, screams came, and 8 farmers died. This was the start of the Revolutionary War. Also, it is the first time that soldiers were against other soldiers. I believe that this is going to have a huge impact on the world.
Sincerely,
Charles D. Whickershire
