Salutary Neglect
Lax enforcement of laws since the British wanted to keep the colonists happy and the British were still making money off of the colonies. This didn't bring revolution any closer as the colonists were happy. -
Navigation Acts
A law that allowed the British to collect money from all imports since they had to come in on British ships and the majority of the sailors had to be British. This angered the colonists since they were unable to have certain things that they wanted. -
French Indian War
This was a war that involved the French, Indians and British. Not surprisingly the Indians lost. :) (and the French) The king made the colonies pay more taxes. This of course angered the colonists and pushed them a bit further -
Albany Plan of Union
A proposal to create a unified government in the colonies. The British did not agree with this idea and had already sent someone to handle relations between Indians and colonists. -
