    King George III ordered no more colonial settlement on the west side of the Appalachian Mountains. The colonists winded up being angry because they wanted more land.

    This law had taxed molasses and sugar for impacting merchants. When a smuggling merchant was caught they were deemed guilty until proven guilty. Where "no taxation without representation" came from.

    Lead to the current 3rd Amendment. The British soildiers were living in the colonists' houses eating their food and taking their jobs.

    The VERY FIRST direct tax was this. It was taxed on the colonists & the merchants.

    This was the law that declared England's authority to make laws for the colonies. The act didn't last to long since the colonists didn't like it.

    Britain (Red coats) killed 5 colonists. The colonists would throw snowballs filled with sticks and stones to throw at them.

    There was a colonial opposition against British policy. This is where there was a voice for the Patriots.

    The tax on British tea was lowered. Made competition between the non-British tea colonists smugglers.

    Colonists went out at night and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor dressed as Indians. They did it because they felt forced to buy the tea.

    These were the acts that shut down the Boston Harbor, expanded the Quartering Act and stopped elections. This was King George III's punishment to the colonists.
