They were punishment to the colonists after the Boston Tea Party. They were made to punish the colonists for their defiance in the Tea Party. -
1st Continental Congress
In the 1st Continental Congress, delegates, discussed boycotting British goods to establish the rights of Americans and were planning for a Second Continental Congress.
