  • The French and Indian War

    The French and Indian war happened from 1756-1763. France and Britain went into war because France expanded into the Ohio River valley which Britain didn't like that France did that.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    At the end of the French and Indian war The British Colonies on the Atlantic coast separated from the American Indian lands. King George the third declared that all of the lands west of Appalachian would be off limits to the settlers.
  • The Sugar Act

    The colonists started to boycott sugar or anything with sugar because they started taxing it. They taxed the sugar so much that most people couldn't afford it.
  • The stamp act

    They started to tax all paper documents because they were in debt because of the war. This caused an uprise and mob violence started.
  • Townshend Acts

    Not only did the tax paper but they also started to tax goods. The colonists saw all of this as acts of abuse because of the power that the others had.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was an uprise of colonists and it got very violent act between British soldier and colonists. It was very violent many died and it kind of started the American Revolution,
  • Tea Act

    The tea act was an uprise where the colonists dumped a bunch of tea into ocean. They boarded East India Company ships and they stole the tea and dumped all of it into the ocean. The British got violent with the colonists after this.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Like the tea act colonists got mad at the pricing of tea. The wanted to show uprise and show they were mad for all this tax so they dumped loads of tea over board into the harbor.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were the 4 act of rebellion from the colonists. The British didn't like the four acts that happened among the 13 colonies so they named it that.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    The first group of settlers to sit down and discuss making the British colonies into states. For all thirteen colonies there was only twelve representatives.
