  • The French and Indian War

    During this war England got huge control over north America. This war led to the revolutionary war.
  • The Proclamation of 1763

    It was a British produced area centered in the Appalachian mountain range. Right after the French and Indian war.
  • The Sugar Act

    They made sugar cheap. In the east sugar was expensive
  • Stamp Act of 1765

    King George III taxed all papers in the U.S. Though England was not taxed
  • Townshend Acts of 1767

    To help pay for the expenses of the new found colonies. These expenses included glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea.
  • The Boston Massacre

    There was a big fight. This fight resulted in five deaths
  • Tea Act

    A struggling tea company in England needed money. Their solution was to send it to America
  • Boston Tea Party

    A protest against the great Britain. These people in Boston threw their tea in the ocean because the hated England
  • Intolerable Acts

    Britain punished the U.S. because of their protests. They passed four laws upon U.S. citizens.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    This first meeting that they decided that they would turn the British colonies into United States. This meeting had 12 representatives of the 13 colonies
